Nscale announced on August 31 that it had secured approximately $3 billion in financing commitments for AI infrastructure deployments at two U.S. locations. The financing comprises separate secured loan facilities that can be drawn over time.
Up to $1.85 billion will support the company’s Ward County campus in Texas, including GPU systems serving approximately 200 MW of IT load. A second facility of up to $1.2 billion will support site upgrades and compute infrastructure at Madison, North Carolina, where capacity is planned for up to 40 MW of IT load. The funding covers GPU infrastructure alongside networking, storage and liquid-cooling equipment. These commitments support deployment; they do not establish that the facilities are already operational.

For project teams, the next planning question is how equipment deliveries align with installation and commissioning. Servers, cooling systems and electrical equipment each have their own readiness requirements. A shipment released before its receiving area is available can create storage and handling work, while a missing component can hold up the installation sequence.
Meridian’s working view
The delivery program should connect supplier release dates with site access, unloading arrangements, installation windows and commissioning milestones. Each shipment needs a confirmed destination and a named receiving contact, especially when construction and equipment installation overlap.
As AI projects move from financing into execution, those interfaces deserve early attention. The useful measure of logistics performance is whether equipment arrives in the condition and sequence the site can use.
